The sustainability of agriculture is one of the most important and common issue of the human kinds. The high productivity of agriculture achieved in the 20th century succeeded in dramatically decreasing hunger but we are now realizing such productivity is not a necessary and sufficient condition. In addition to the high productivity, stable and robust productivity under climatic change and frequently occurring extreme weather conditions, low environmental impact, low emission, food safety and farmers’ welfare must be also achieved simultaneously. They are all related to sustainability of production either directly or indirectly. In general, to fulfill such multiple conditions is a complicated problem to solve. In this paper, how we should approach such a problem utilizing ICT is discussed.id
