dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research was to analyze the influence of the Social Safety Net-Health Sector Program (JPS-BK) on growth and development of undertwo years children (badutu). The study was carried out in Kebumen, Purworejo and Sukoha rjo of Central Java, and Lombok Timur and Sumbawa of West Nusa Tenggara. This research was designed as cross sectional with Posttest-On1 y Nonequivalent Group Study Design, This was applied considering the data was collected in a moment just aRcr JPS-BK program has ken starting with two nonequivalent groups (one is target group and another is non target group of JPS-BK). The sample was mothers who had breastfeeding status and had k e n pregnant between Octokr 1998 and ended in 2000. Total sample was 622 mothers, consist of 544 mothers of 3PS-BK and 1 18 mothers of Non PS-BK. Growth and development of baduta of JPS-BK had not different from baduta of Non JPS-BK. Birth weight had positived and significant correlation with Mother's Body Mass Index (BMI), weeks of gestation and antenatal care, supglementary feeding and mother's education. Nutritional status of baduta ( WIA) had positive and significant correlation with birth weight, of immunization, and complementary feeding (MPASI JPS-BK). Nutritional status of baduta (H/A) had positived and significant correlation with birth weight, MPASI JPS-BK, immunization and mother's educational level. Nutritional status of baduta (W/H) had positived and significant correlation with birth weight, MPASI JPS-BK, immunization, income per capita, and mother's educational level. Development of baduta had positived and significant correlation with birth weight, nutritioml status with WIA, WA and W/H indicators and MPASI JPS-BK, it had negative and significant correlation with weeks of gestation. One of JPS-BK activities as MPASI cordate with growth and development of children under two years.id
