Abstract: Penyakit hawar daun bakteri pada pembibitan tanaman A. crassicarpa di Pelalawan Riau merupakan penyakit baru dan mematikan yang belum dilaporkan keberadaannya baik di Indonesia maupun negara lain yang menanam tanaman A. crassicarpa. Sampai sekarang ini belum dikarakterisasi dan diidentifikasi bakteri patogen yang menyebabkan penyakit hawar daun pada bibit tanaman A. crassicarpa ini. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi dan mengidentifikasi bakteri penyebab penyakit hawar daun pada bibit tanaman A. crassicarpa baik karakteristik fenotipik dan molekulernya serta beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya epidemi penyakit hawar daun bakteri.
Bacterial leaf blight (BLB) disease is a new and deadly disease on Acacia crassicarpa nursery in Pelelewan Riau and never been reported either in Indonesia or in other countries. This research was designed to study etiology of BLB disease on A. crassicarpa seedlings and other factors that triggered epidemy of BLB disease. The result showed that the first symptom of BLB appeared on 5-6 weeks-old seedlings and blight was formed within 1-2 weeks.
