Implementasitanggungjawab social perusahaan (corporate social responsibility) dalam pemberdayaan dan peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat: kasus di Provinsi Lampung

Abstract

Government or local government, business (corporate and cooperative), and the peoples have the same responsibility to the community development. Corporate operating on the local area exploited the local natural resources and human resources must implement the corporate social responsibility (CSR) by doing the developmental program (include economical development) on their peripheral community. CSR is a commitment of corporation to push the community welfare by running and contribute to the program. The program is more usefull if it is based on the community needs. The basic needs to fulfil their food, clothing, and housing are the basic needs of peripheral community at Lampung Province, so the CSR program is expected to be able to improve their earnings and prosperity to fulfil these needs. The objectives of the study are: (1) to obtain the community and corporate manager’s perception about CSR, (2) to identify the influence of CSR implementation to the community behavior progress on their business, (3) to identify the influence of the community behavior on their business to their economic capability level (4) to formulate and design of strategy to improve the community business capability and their income in relation to the CSR. LISREL was used to formulate the Structural Equation Modeling of CSR implementation. This research was carried out in two districts (Central Lampung and Pesawaran Regency). The sample is the peripheral community (200 peoples) and two corporates exploiting natural and human resources and implementing the CSR program.
