dc.description.abstractBiodiesel is an alternative fuel for diesel engines that is receiving great attention world wide. Biodiesel is defined as the mono-alkyl esters offatty acids derivedfrom vegetable oils or animal fats. Aim of this research is to determine reaction kinetics parameters of bintangur seed oil to be used as raw material making of biodiesel. Esterification has been required because the quality of bintangur seed oils that produced by farmer in Kebumen Central Java has bad quality with rate of Free Fatty Acid (FFA) reach 30 %. Kinetics of esterification reaction bintangur seed oil is determined at mol ratio of methanol 20:1. catalyst HCL 6%, speed ofsquealer 300 rpm and time 60 minute with after intake of sample 5 minute once.id
