Abstract:	Series of experiments to elucidate suspected allelopathic effect on second planted consecutive ginger were caried out in Tajur from October 1988-August 1989 and in Cimulang from November 1989-June 1990. 1hefirst experiment was ginger planted at population of41 666 plantslha (80X30 cm). 50.000 (80X25 cm) and 62 500 plantslha (80X20 cm planting" distance). The replacement series experiment as the second trial were having the same 0 -30, 0-60. 0 -90. 0 -120, 0 -150 and 0 -180 DAT for both with weed and without weed periods.
