dc.description.abstractThe experiment was conducted at the Central Research Institute for Agriculture Experimental Station at Cikeumeuh, Bogor, from October 1982 until May, 1983. The aim of tnis experiment was to know the effect of N, K and mulch on growth and production of taro.Experimental design used in this experiment was split-split plot design, with mulching treatment as mainplot, N fertilizer as Sub-plot and K fertilizer as sub-sup plot. The result of the experiment was that nicrogen fertilizer affected growth and production of taro. Leaf number, shoot number and tuber fresh weight were increased with increase in nitrogen application. Potassium fertilizer affected tuber fresh weight, and mulching treatment did not affected all variables observed. The interaction between mulching treatment and N fertilizer only affected leaf number.id
