To evaluate the progres achieved after two cycles of recurrent selection to increase bacterial wilt resistance and improve agronomic characters in tomato breeding program, progenies of selected F4 populations were grown on bacterial wilt infested field at two locations of IPB Experimental Farm, Tajur(250 m above sea level) and Sukamantri (540 m above sea level). From various F4 populations of known pedigrees and degrees of contribut1on of bacterial wilt resistant parent germplasm, achievements in bacterial wilt resistance, earliness, and percent fruit set were compared to those of resistant parents. Most of the selected F4 populations had comparable degree of resistance, in some populations even higher, compared to that of resistant parents K7 and AV. The levels of resistance at Sukamantri than those at Tajur. Days to first flower and percent fruit set were close to those of K7.id
