| dc.description.abstract | A study on Zn-proteinate, Cu-proteinate, and ammonium molybdate supplementation was conducted for eight months in 30 male thin-tailed lambs with an average initial body weight of 13.1 + 0.15 kg in order to determine their performances. The animals were allocated into six treatments according to a completely randomized design. The treatments were diet with: no mineral supplementation (Rl), 35 pprn Zn (R2), 35 pprn Zn and 10.1 pprn Cu (R3), 35 pprn Zn and 5 pprn Mo (R4), 10.1 pprn Cu and 5 pprn Mo (R5), and 35 pprn Zn, 10.1 pprn Cu and 5 pprn Mo (R6). The diet consisted of 701%,e lephant grass and 30?'c1o1n centrate of a dry matter basis. The supplementation increased (P<0.05) ruminal fermentation activity, nutrient digestibility, feed consumption, mineral absorption, feed efficiency, and growth rate. Supplementation of Zn, Cu+Mo, Zn+Cu, Zn+Mo, and Zn+Cu+Mo improved lamb performances fed a high forage diet. The supplementation of Zn ptoduced a better performance when it was combined with Cu instead of Mo. Meanwhile, Zn as a sole supplement gave the best result among other mineral supplementation and resulted in growth rate up to 32.5% higher than control. Molybdenum supplementation combined either with Cu or Zn, resulted in the worse performances than that was combined with both Cu and Zn | id |
