Abstract: Botanical oil derivated biodiesel is a renewable alternative fuel. The process involves catalytic or noncatalytic reaction. Unfortunately, catalytic process cost is expensive since the purification process needs several stages. Therefore, this study tried to use cheap and safe noncatalytic process. The process was performed under low temperature and atmospheric pressure, but was facing a problem due the process of conversion and purification needs longer period to separate mono and diglyceride. In the next experiment the reactor will be redesigned using sieve tray bubble column reactor with perforated plates.
