dc.description.abstractEmpty fruit bunch of oil palm waste was used as medium for Paus sp. cultivation. Two methods of medium sterilization were carried out, ie. autoclaving and radiation, The growth of mushrooms on autociaved medium was better than that of radiated one. However, the time period recpired for primordium production, total weight of mushrooms, and the number of caps produced were not significantly affected by either of the sterilization techniques. The empty fruit bunch of oil palm can be used as cultivating medium of Pmus sp.. However, the biological efficiency of the mushrooms, either by autoclaving or radiation, was considerably low.id
