TMV-O pada Anggerik Aranda Wendy Scott

Abstract

TKV-0 was identifled as the causal agent of a disease of Aranda Wendy Scott in Jakarta. Bioassay showed that the virus produced local lesions on Cassia occidentalis, Chenopodium amaranticolor, Gomphrene globosa, and Nicotiana glutinosa. Observation of the "dip method" preparation of diseased plant sap under the electron microscope indicated that the virus particles were rod-shaped and rigid with a length of about 300m

TMV-O telah diidentifikasi sebagai penyebab penyakit Aranda Wendy Scott di Jakarta. Uji hayati memperhatikan bahwa virus tersebut membentuk lesio lokal pada Cassia occidentalis, Chenopodium amaranticolor, Gomphrene globosa, and Nicotiana glutinosa. Observasi preparasi cairan perasan tanaman sakit yang dilakukan secara "metodea celup" dengan mikroskop elektron, menunjukan bahwa partikel berbentuk seperti batang dan kaku drngan panjang lebih kurang 300m.
