Abstract: Tuberosa (Polyanthes tuberosa L.) in Indonesia is commonly used as cut flowers as well as picked flowers, especially at festivities associated with ethnic, cultural or religious affairs. In contrast to its wide use, however, in East Java this elegant and fragrant flower is being cultivated only on small scale farms either in monoculture or mixed-cropping. A study conducted in tuberosa main production areas in East Java, Regency of Pasuruan, village of Oro-Oro Ombo Kulon, indicated that for a hectare of farm during 36 months of cultivation it was feasible to grow this flower commercially. The results also showed that tuberosa harvested as cut flowers was more rewarding compared to picked flower with a 5.90% per month difference in internal rate returns. For cut flower the NPV was Rp. 7,691,091; IRR 14.72% and BEP Rp. 2,779,327; IRR 8.82% and BEP Rp. 325.00/stalk. If the farmer's capital was a bank loan, according to the payback period analysis it was possible to make the repayment at the 12th month for cut flower and at the 14th month for picked flower.
