Studi Pendahuluan Program Pengembangan Peternakan Kambing di Daerah Transmigrasi Ratumarta Sumatera Selatan

Abstract

A preliminary study was conducted on March 1-10, 1983 to examine the possibility of goat development programme in the transmigration project of Batumarta, South of Sumatera. A total of 120 transmigrant samples were down from 4 village unit(Unit I-IV). The average age of Batumarta transmigrants were 41 years old. Most of them ever attended a primary school (60,9%), a secondary school (7.3%), a high school (7.2%), a inseminator course (0.9%) and a transmigration course (0.9%). Some of them, however, are still alliterate (23.7%), but all of their children had ever been or being in school now n Batumarta.
