Abstract: Although the competitive advantage of nations concept has been proposed for the latest twelve yean, it is not clear what the most effective method is in measuring the strength of it. This paper discussed the perfomance of fuzzy systems in measuring the competitive advantage of dairy industry through its determinants. The six competitive advantage determinants are factor conditions, demand conditions, firm strategy, sbucture, and rivalry, related and supporting industries, chance and government. The result showed that the competitive advantage of dairy industry is weak. Dairy industry is mapped in factor-driven position on stages of competitive development because of the dominant determinant is factor condition. This paper provides strategic impUcations for government and firms for raising the competitive advantage of nation. Further research needs to be condud to accomodate entry barriers to agroindustries in the model. Key word: competitive advantage, dairy industry, fuzzy system.
