Abstract: Peronema is one of forest trees which is difficult to be propagated through conventional methods. This research was conducted to find the in vitro technique of Peronema propagation. The result showed-that the highest rate of axillary shoot multipliction i.e. 65,8 buds/explant/three weeks was obtained in MS medium containing 10 mg/l Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) . The best buds rooting (> 90%) was obtained in a medium containing 2 mg/l Indole Butyric Acid (IBA) or 2 mgjl Naphthaleneacetic Acid (NAA). Almost all planlets (92,6%) grew very well in soil : compost (1 : 1) medium, in greenhouse condition. Plants from tissue culture have been successfully transferred to the field.
