The Possibility Of Applying Auction System In Forest Resource Utilization In Indonesia

Abstract

In the end of 1993 and tbe begining of 1994, there has been growing opinion about the weakness of the existing coacession systean (fIPH systun) in forest utilization in Indonesia, and the need to fa another alternative system to replace or to be combined with the existing HPH system. Since I eqmsd my opinion in the national newspaper "Bisnis Indoaesia" on July, 12 1993, dme idea of auctioa system has been rolling. As a matter of fact, the only systm applied in Indoaesia is HPH system, where the right to extract the fbrest is continuously for 20 Years
