Abstract: Ducks were kept to produce eggs and meat. Development of duck in Indonesia was done as traditionally by the farmers on low-land area. Breeds of duck with their characteristics were very important as animal genetic resources. Characterization of breeds by morphological is based information for thdr improvement. The research was conducted at Research Institute for Animal Production, Ciawi, Bogor from January to May 2002. The length of femur, tibia, tarsometatarsus, circumference of tarsometatarsus, length of third digit, wing and maxilla bone of Mojosari, Alabio, Bali, Pegagan, Khaki Campbell and Pekin ducks were measured to observe their body size and shape. Data were analyzed by T-Test (steel and Torrie, 1981) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) (Gaspersz, 1992).
