dc.description.abstractLumpur Sidoarjo (LUSI) merupakan material dengan salinitas tinggi yang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan dan berdampak pada usaha pertanian yang terpengaruh oleh alirannya. Hingga saat ini kondisi tersebut belum terpecahkan sehingga perlu dicari cara untuk memperbaiki sifat LUSI sehingga dapat mengurangi sifat sebagai pencemar dan membuka peluang untuk usaha pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perubahan sifat kimia dan larutan tanah LUSI akibat perlakuan gipsum dan batu bara muda. Penelitian ini merupakan kelanjutan dari penelitian Pribadi (2018). Penelitian dilakukan dengan perlakuan gipsum dan batu bara muda yang dilakukan secara tergenang dan tercuci. Proses pencucian dilakukan dengan merendam media LUSI dalam air selama 30 hari, kemudian larutan tanah LUSI dianalisis untuk mengevaluasi ion terlarut dan sifat LUSI setelah pencucian. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial dengan 15 perlakuan yang diulang 3 kali dan dilakukan di laboratorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan gipsum G2 (50 ton gipsum/ha) secara nyata menurunkan pH, Na-dd dan Mg-dd serta meningkatkan Ca-dd melalui mekanisme pertukaran ion dan paling efektif dalam memperbaiki sifat salin-sodik LUSI. Pada larutan tanah LUSI, dosis G2 (50 ton gipsum/ha) secara signifikan meningkatkan kadar Na?, Ca²?, Mg²?, Cl? dan B, yang menunjukkan efektivitas pencucian garam dari LUSI. Batu bara muda meningkatkan Mg-dd, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap ion-ion pada larutan tanah LUSI. Perlakuan gipsum dan pencucian terbukti efektif dalam mengeluarkan komponen utama penyebab salinitas LUSI, tetapi tingginya kandungan Cl dalam larutan tanah LUSI memerlukan pengelolaan lanjutan agar tidak menimbulkan risiko agronomis atau lingkungan.-
dc.description.abstractSidoarjo’s mudflow is a high-salinity material with the potential to pollute the environment and have negatively affect agricultural activities in areas impacted by its flow. Until now, this issue remains unresolved, making it necessary to explore methods for improving the properties of Sidoarjo’s mudflow to reduce its pollutant characteristics and create opportunities for agricultural use. This study aimed to analyze changes in the chemical properties and leachate water of Sidoarjo’s mudflow as a result of gypsum and lignite treatments. This research was continuation Pribadi (2018). Gypsum and lignite treatments were applied under submerged and leaching conditions. The leaching process was carried out by soaking Sidoarjo’s mudflow in water for 30 days, after which the leachate was analyzed to evaluate dissolved ions and Sidoarjo’s mudflow properties after leaching. The experiment was conducted using a factorial randomized complete design with 15 treatments, each replicated three times, in a laboratory setting. The results showed that the gypsum treatment G2 (50 tons/ha) significantly reduced pH, exch-Na and exch-Mg, while increasing exch-Ca through ion-exchange mechanisms, making it the most effective treatment for improving the saline-sodic properties of LUSI. In the leachate water, G2 significantly increased Na?, Ca²?, Mg²?, Cl?, and B concentrations, indicating the effectiveness of salt leaching from Sidoarjo mud flow. Lignite increased Mg-dd but had no significantly effect on leachate ion composition. Gypsum treatment combined with leaching effectively in removing the main salinity-causing components of Sidoarjo’s mudflow; however, the high Cl? content in the leachate requires further management to avoid agronomic or environmental risks.-
