| Abstract: | BIMA ADI PERMANA.
ditemukan, yaitu serak jawa terdapat dua individu dewasa, celepuk reban empat
individu dewasa, dan kukuk seloputo satu individu dewasa. Burung hantu tersebar

Supervised by JARWADI BUDI HERNOWO and DONES RINALDI. The role of owls as natural predators encourages research on the types of owls and their distribution on the IPB Darmaga Campus. The information is very limited so it is interesting to study. Research on the distribution, population and habitat conditions of owls on the IPB Darmaga Campus was conducted from October to November 2023 at the IPB Darmaga Campus, Babakan Village, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency, West Java Province. The method used to conduct this research is by conducting triangulation and recording direct encounters. The results obtained in this study are that there are three species of owls, namely the barn owl, the collaredscops owl, and the spotted wood-owl. The age structure of the owls found, namely the Barn Owl there are two adult individuals, the collared-scops owl four adult individuals, and the seloputo cuckoo one adult individual. The Owl spread across four different habitats on the IPB Dramaga Campus. The barn owl is found in builtup habitats. The collared-scops owl is found in forest, garden, built-up and wetland habitats. The spotted wood-owl is found in forest habitats. Built-up habitat is used by Javan owl as resting habitat, forest habitat, built- up and wetland are used as resting habitat for collared-scops owl. Forest habitat is used as resting habitat for spotted wood-owl. Keywords: barn owl, collared-scops owl, habitat, spotted wood-owl |
