| Abstract: | Salah satu masalah lingkungan yang timbul akibat proses dekomposisi fraksi organik pada limbah padat perkotaan tercampur yaitu masalah kebauan. One of the environmental problems that arises from the decomposition process of organic fractions in municipal solid waste is the issue of odor. This study aims to reduce the odor nuisance caused by comingled municipal solid waste from the aspects of odor impression and the concentration of H2S and NH3 gas emissions using a deodorant solution containing Pseudomonas putida and Bacillus subtilis, and analyzes the effect of the bacterial solution ratio and determines the optimum solution ratio. This study was conducted by assessing the effect of deodorant solutions on comingled municipal solid waste using the odor hedonism scale and measuring the concentration of gas emissions. The results showed that only the deodorant solution with a bacterial solution ratio of 1:1 (v/v) was successful in reducing the impression of unpleasant odor by 45.5% and the concentration of H2S emissions by 38.1% for 24 hours after treatment. The application of the deodorant solution with a bacterial solution ratio of 1:1 (v/v) resulted in minimal side effects compared to the other ratios, making it the optimum ratio. |
