| Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh suplementasi minyak ikan
pasca beranak.
Suplementasi meningkatkan persentase recovery bobot badan (P<0,05), namun
tidak memengaruhi kualitas susu (P>0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi
minyak ikan lemuru atau minyak biji bunga matahari 6% mampu memperbaiki
recovery bobot badan tanpa menurunkan kualitas susu. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of lemuru fish oil and sunflower seed oil supplementation on ewe performance and milk quality after lambing. A total of 12 late-pregnant ewes with an average Body Condition Score (BCS) of 3.00 and body weight of 39.49 ± 4.99 kg were used. A Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with three treatments and four replications was applied: P0 = concentrate ration without oil, P1 = concentrate with 6% lemuru fish oil, and P2 = concentrate with 6% sunflower seed oil. Observed variables included nutrient intake, body weight change, and milk quality. The results showed that oil supplementation significantly (P<0.01) reduced crude fat and nitrogen-free extract intake, but had no effect (P>0.05) on dry matter, crude protein, and crude fiber intake. Supplementation significantly improved body weight recovery (P<0.05) compared with the control, while milk quality parameters (fat, SNF, lactose, protein, and specific gravity) were not affected (P>0.05). It is concluded that supplementation of 6% lemuru fish oil or sunflower seed oil in the ration improves postpartum body weight recovery of ewes without compromising milk quality. |
