dc.description.abstractIsu lingkungan di PT X saat ini adalah penurunan kualitas air kolam, yang disebabkan oleh pertumbuhan lumut yang cepat serta tingginya kadar Boron, Klorida, dan Total Coliform. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendesain dan menguji efektivitas alat filtrasi air dengan media ijuk, pasir malang, batu zeolit serta penggunaan kerang hijau (Perna viridis) dan kijing (Pilsbryoconcha exilis), sehingga air kolam dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik. Terdapat tiga perlakuan dalam penelitian P1 menggunakan alat filtrasi dengan media ijuk, batu zeolit, dan pasir malang., P2 menggunakan biofiltrasi kerang hijau dan kijing dan P3 merupakan sistem gabungan. Efektivitas teknik filtrasi dengan metode filtrasi down flow ternyata tidak efektif. Ijuk, pasir malang, dan biofilter kerang hijau dan kijing hanya mampu menyaring kotoran berukuran besar partikel fisik sedangkan boron dan klorida berukuran kecil. Hasil filterasi dapat menurunkan kadar klorida dengan menggunakan filtrasi sistem down flow pada setiap perlakuan di P1 dan P2, namun untuk kadar boron belum berhasil diturunkan pada semua perlakuannya. Penelitan filtrasi ini belum dapat menurunkan kadar boron dan klorida, sehingga diperlukan teknik lain yang lebih tepat.-
dc.description.abstractA current environmental issue at PT X is the decline in pond water quality, caused by rapid algae growth and high levels of boron, chloride, and total coliform. The purpose of this study was to design and test the effectiveness of a water filtration system using palm fiber, Malang sand, zeolite rock, and green mussels (Perna viridis) and mussels (Pilsbryoconcha exilis) as media, so that pond water can be utilized effectively. There were three treatments in the study: P1 using a filtration system using palm fiber, zeolite rock, and Malang sand; P2 using green mussel and mussel biofiltration; and P3 using a combined system. The effectiveness of the downflow filtration technique was found to be ineffective. The palm fiber, Malang sand, and green mussel and mussel biofilters were only able to filter large particles, while boron and chloride were small. Filtration results showed that chloride levels were reduced using a downflow filtration system in each treatment in P1 and P2. However, boron levels were not successfully reduced in all treatments. This filtration study was unable to reduce boron and chloride levels, so other, more appropriate techniques are needed.-
