This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of probiotic supplementation through feed on the growth and production of whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The research employed an ex post facto method with three treatments: P1 (control without probiotics), P2 (addition of 125 mL/L probiotics), and P3 (addition of 200 mL/L probiotics). The probiotics used contained Bacillus sp. and Lactobacillus sp., which were mixed into the feed and fermented for 24 hours. The results showed that probiotic supplementation through feed had a significant effect on the growth and feed efficiency of L. vannamei. The P3 treatment produced the best performance in terms of biomass, specific growth rate (SGR), and feed conversion ratio (FCR) compared to other treatments. A probiotic dosage of 200 mL/L is recommended for application in commercial, scale aquaculture. |
