Textile wastewater consists of pollutants originating from various production processes. One of the high pollutant loads comes from the dyeing process. In this process, there are dyes that are toxic, mutagenic, and carcinogenic. In addition, there are difficult-to-degrade organic substances originating from dye residues. This study aims to analyze the application of Bacillus bacteria microorganism preservation material immobilized on bentonite media in the root system of fragrant root plants in floating wetlands to improve the performance of the pollutant degradation system in textile wastewater based on the reduction of COD and dye parameters. The method used is experimental, consisting of two treatments with three repetitions. The results of the study showed that the most effective treatment in reducing COD and dye concentrations, stabilizing pH and temperature was the fragrant root plant treatment with the addition of preserved Bacillus sp. bacteria immobilized in bentonite. Thus, the floating wetland system can be recommended as a method for treating textile wastewater to improve water quality.-
