Land cover change is a dynamic phenomenon that requires continuous monitoring, as it directly affects environmental sustainability and spatial planning. The aim of this study is to identify land cover classifications, analyze the changes that occurred between 2017 and 2022, and assess the suitability of land cover with the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) in Klapanunggal District, Bogor Regency. The analysis was conducted using SPOT 7 imagery from 2017 and SPOT 6 imagery from 2022 through a visual method interpreted by on-screen digitizing, supported by field verification (ground check), and visual classification based on image interpretation elements. The results indicated significant changes in different land cover classes, increase in settlement and mining areas, and decrease in forest and rice field areas. The suitability level of 1,070.9 ha (93.8%) and the unsuitability level of 70.7 ha (6.2%) indicate that the land use in Klapanunggal District is largely consistent with the directives of the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW).
