| dc.description.abstract | FIKRI FADILAH. Perancangan Alat Deteksi Tingkat Kematangan Buah Tomat Menggunakan Sensor TCS34725. Dibimbing oleh MAHFUDDIN ZUHRI. Penentuan tingkat kematangan tomat yang masih dilakukan secara visual sering menimbulkan hasil yang berbeda karena dipengaruhi oleh persepsi dan pengalaman individu. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk merancang sebuah prototipe alat yang dapat mendeteksi tingkat kematangan tomat secara otomatis dengan memanfaatkan sensor warna TCS34725 dan mikrokontroler ESP32. Alat bekerja dengan membaca nilai RGBC (Red, Green, Blue, Clear) pada beberapa sisi permukaan buah, kemudian hasil bacaan diproses menggunakan metode Root Mean Square Deviation (RMSD) dengan data referensi sebagai pembanding. Informasi klasifikasi ditampilkan langsung melalui LCD. Pengujian dilakukan pada empat kategori tingkat kematangan, yaitu mentah, mengkal, matang, dan sangat matang. Dari sepuluh sampel yang diuji, delapan sampel berhasil diklasifikasikan dengan benar sehingga diperoleh tingkat akurasi sebesar 80%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prototipe yang dikembangkan mampu membantu mengurangi subjektivitas penentuan kematangan tomat, meskipun masih ditemukan kesalahan klasifikasi pada kategori yang memiliki kemiripan warna. | - |
| dc.description.abstract | FIKRI FADILAH. Design of a Device for Detecting Tomato Ripeness Using the TCS34725 Sensor. Supervised by MAHFUDDIN ZUHRI. The determination of tomato ripeness is often carried out visually, which may lead to inconsistent results due to differences in individual perception and experience. This study was conducted to design a prototype device capable of automatically detecting tomato ripeness using the TCS34725 color sensor and an ESP32 microcontroller. The device operates by reading RGBC (Red, Green, Blue, Clear) values from several sides of the tomato surface, and the data are then processed using the Root Mean Square Deviation (RMSD) method with reference data as a comparison. The classification results are displayed directly on an LCD. Testing was carried out on four ripeness categories, namely unripe, half-ripe, ripe, and overripe. Out of ten tested samples, eight were correctly classified, resulting in an accuracy rate of 80%. These findings indicate that the developed prototype can help reduce subjectivity in determining tomato ripeness, although misclassifications still occur in categories with similar color characteristics. | - |
