This final project aims to identify the problems, potentials, empowerment strategies, and the impact of empowerment on the knowledge and skills of coffee farmers in the Lubang Emas Forest Farmers Group in the production of composting biopores. The method used in this final project is a mixed method approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, Focus Group Discussions, documentation, pre test and post test, questionnaires, and checklists. The results of the study show that the main problems faced are the high price of inorganic fertilizers and limited access to subsidized fertilizers. The identified potentials include the availability of extensive land and abundant organic matter derived from agricultural waste. The empowerment strategy implemented follows the Strength-Opportunity (S-O) approach and is realized through mentoring activities focused on composting biopore production. These mentoring activities have been proven to significantly enhance farmers’ knowledge and skills.
