Lymphoid organ weight is a key indicator of immune status in poultry, as it reflects physiological and nutritional responses. IPB D1 chicken, a crossbreed of local strains (Pelung, Sentul, Kampung) and broiler (Cobb parent stock), was developed for enhanced growth and immunity. This study evaluated the effect of dietary supplementation with Zn, Cr, and lemuru fish oil on lymphoid organ weights of IPB D1 chickens. A completely randomized design with four treatments and five replications (five birds each) was applied. Treatments were: P0 (control), P1 (Zn 120 ppm + Cr 400 ppb), P2 (lemuru fish oil 3–3.5%), and P3 (Zn 120 ppm + Cr 400 ppb + lemuru fish oil 3–3.5%). Thymus, bursa of Fabricius, and spleen were sampled from 20 birds at 12 weeks. Data were analyzed using ANOVA (95% confidence level). Results indicated that supplementation had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the weight or relative weight of lymphoid organs. All treatments showed similar outcomes. |
