Abstract: Pada tahun 2023 Indonesia menjadi salah satu negara dengan kunjungan tertinggi ke aplikasi artificial intelligence (AI), mencapai 1,4 miliar secara global. Penggunaan Generative AI (GenAI) sebanyak 24,18% dalam sektor pendidikan tinggi, berpotensi meningkatkan produktivitas mahasiswa melalui project-based learning, namun menimbulkan tantangan terkait etika akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana GenAI digunakan oleh mahasiswa, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi adopsinya menggunakan kerangka kerja Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE), serta mengevaluasi dampak penggunaan GenAI dan etika akademik terhadap produktivitas mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di IPB University pada periode April hingga Juni 2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan data kuantitatif yang berasal dari sumber primer dan sekunder. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis SEM-PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknologi dan organisasi menjadi faktor utama penggunaan GenAI di kalangan mahasiswa IPB University, dengan terdapat hubungan positif antara penggunaan GenAI, etika akademik, dan produktivitas akademik.
In 2023, Indonesia became one of the countries with the highest number of visits to artificial intelligence (AI) applications, reaching 1.4 billion globally. The use of Generative AI (GenAI) by 24.18% in the higher education sector, with the potential to increase student productivity through project-based learning, but it poses challenges related to academic ethics. This study aims to analyze the extent to which GenAI is used by students, identify the factors influencing its adoption using the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, and evaluate the impact of GenAI use and academic ethics on student productivity. The research was conducted at IPB University from April to June 2025. This study uses quantitative data from primary and secondary sources. It employs descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS analysis. The results indicate that technology and organization are the primary factors influencing GenAI use among IPB University students, with a positive relationship between GenAI use, academic ethics, and academic productivity.
