| dc.description.abstract | Serangga black soldier fly (BSF) Hermetia illucens pada fase larvanya merupakan salah satu bahan baku alternatif. Tingginya kandungan lemak pada larva black soldier fly (BSFL) menyebabkan tepung BSFL rentan oksidasi lemak selama penyimpanan dan menyulitkan proses pembuatan pakan. Proses pemisahan lemak (defatting) merupakan pre-treatment yang akan menghasilkan tepung BSFL tanpa lemak dan minyak BSFL. Tepung BSFL tanpa lemak dan minyak BSFL dapat digunakan sebagai substitusi tepung ikan dan minyak ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pemanfaatan tepung BSFL tanpa lemak dan minyak BSFL pada ikan nila, baik secara terpisah maupun dalam kombinasi. Pada penelitian ini rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan yakni kontrol (tanpa BSFL), TB (hanya substitusi tepung ikan dengan tepung BSFL tanpa lemak), MB (hanya substitusi minyak ikan dengan minyak BSFL), dan TBMB (substitusi tepung ikan dan minyak ikan dengan tepung BSFL tanpa lemak dan minyak BSFL). Substitusi tepung BSFL tanpa lemak dan minyak BSFL tidak menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (P>0,05) dalam kinerja pertumbuhan, kinerja hati, kecernaan, kolesterol, HDL, dan LDL. Namun, terdapat perbedaan signifikan (P<0,05) dalam perlakuan TBMB pada Trigliserida, rasio FIFO, dan rasio eFIFO. Rasio FIFO dan eFIFO pakan yang rendah pada perlakuan yang mengandung tepung BSFL tanpa lemak dan minyak BSFL mengindikasikan pakan ikan yang berkelanjutan. Tepung BSFL tanpa lemak dan minyak BSFL secara terpisah maupun dikombinasikan dapat memberikan performa kinerja pertumbuhan ikan nila yang sama dengan pakan yang menggunakan tepung ikan dan minyak ikan. | |
| dc.description.abstract | In its larval phase, the black soldier fly (BSF) Hermetia illucens is an alternative ingredient for aquafeed. However, the high lipid content in black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) makes BSFL meal prone to fat oxidation during storage and complicates feed production. The defatting process is a pre-treatment that will produce defatted BSFL meal and BSFL oil. Defatted BSFL meals and BSFL oil can be substituted for fish meals and fish oil. This study evaluates defatted BSFL meal and BSFL oil utilization in tilapia Oreochromis niloticus, separately and in combination. In this study, the design used is a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and three replications, namely Control (without BSFL), TB (only fish meal substitution with BSFL defatted meal), MB (only fish oil substitution with BSFL oil), and TBMB (substitution of fish meal and fish oil with BSFL defatted meal and BSFL oil). The substitution of defatted BSFL meal and BSFL oil did not show significant differences (P>0.05) in growth performance, liver performance, digestibility, cholesterol, HDL, and LDL. However, there were significant differences (P<0.05) in the TBMB treatment regarding Triglycerides, FIFO ratio, and eFIFO ratio. The low FIFO and eFIFO feed ratios in treatments containing defatted BSFL meal and BSFL oil indicate sustainable fish feed. Defatted BSFL meal and BSFL oil, whether used separately or in combination, can provide the same growth performance for tilapia as fish meal and fish oil feed. | |
