This study aims to analyze the comparative financial performance of BPR and BPRS in Bogor during the 2020-2024 period using a quantitative approach with panel data. This research applies panel data regression, specifically the random effect model to test the influence of the business system as well as internal and external factors. The main finding reveals that the business system, whether conventional or sharia, does not have a statistically significant influence on either ROA or NPF/NPF. ROA performance is predominantly determined by internal factors, where the CAR has a significant positive effect, while bank size and the FIN have a significant negative effect. No variables significantly affect NPL/NPF, suggesting that risk is more determined by management quality. The study concludes that fundamental health and internal management are more crucial to performance than the type of business system.
