Coral reef transplantation is a restoration attempt to restore ecosystem damaged by human activities and climate change. The purpose of this study is to analyze the coastal community residents perceptions of the impact of the coral reef transplantation programs. This study uses mixed method with qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with informants and quantitative data using questionnaires, with respondents selection through non-purposive sampling respondents. The research shows that the coral reef transplantation program has three impacts: economic, ecological, and social. The perception of the coastal community residents regarding the three impacts are in neutral and tends to be in good category. Spearman’s rank correlation test and chi-square did not show significant correlation between characteristics of coastal community residents and their perceptions of the impact of the coral reef transplantation program and tended to be weakly correlated. |
