This study aims to identify the acoustic characteristics of surfacial sediments in North Bengkalis Waters using the single channel seismic reflection method. The data used consisted of six seismic trajectories and 12 grab sampler points. Data processing includes bandpass filter, automatic gain control, and sparse spike deconvolution using Seisee and Matlab software to produce 2D trajectory visualization and obtain sediment reflection coefficient values. The results show that in the north-south trajectory, the depth of the water bottom substrate is in the depth range of 6.7 meters to 27.2 meters, for the west-east trajectory, the depth range of the water bottom substrate is in the depth of 7.1 meters to 46.5 meters. Sediment analysis results show variations in reflector patterns and thickness of the sediment layer at the study site. The sediment surface acoustic reflection coefficient is in the range of 0.191 to 0.291, indicating the presence of silt-type sediments from medium to very coarse grades.
