| dc.description.abstract | Bisphenol A (BPA) was a harmful compound found in plastics that required rapid and accurate detection. This study developed an electrochemical sensor based on a pencil graphite electrode (EPG) modified with a composite of platinum nanoparticles (PtNPs) and graphene. PtNPs were synthesized via chemical reduction and combined with graphene before being applied to the EPG surface. TEM characterization showed a uniform distribution of PtNPs with an average size of 3.3801 ± 1.0286 nm. Differential Pulse Voltammetry revealed that a graphene:PtNPs ratio of 10:0.5 was optimal at pH 9, with a detection limit (LOD) of 0.7 µM and a quantification limit (LOQ) of 2.0 µM. The sensor exhibited good linearity (R² = 0.99561), satisfactory repeatability and reproducibility. Selectivity tests using phenol, hydroquinone, hydrazine, vitamin C, and NaNO3 demonstrated high selectivity. BPA that detection in bottled water was measured at 0.1288 ppm. These results indicated the sensor was effectiveness for BPA detection. | - |
