| dc.description.abstract | Fusarium oxysporum is one of the phytopathogenic fungi that causes seedling blight, resulting in low national soybean productivity. Control of phytopathogenic fungi can be achieved by biocontrol agents such as Streptomyces. Streptomyces can produce ß-glucanase enzymes that effectively destroy fungal cell walls. This study aims to develop a Streptomyces formula and examine the effect of applying the Streptomyces formula in controlling root rot caused by the fungus F. oxysporum. Three Streptomyces sp. isolates from corn rhizosphere (ARJ) that produce glucanase enzymes, grown on ISP-4 medium and sweet potato broth with the addition of 0,5% glucan, were used in the formulation. Antifungal activity testing demonstrated the potential of Streptomyces spp. in controlling F. oxysporum. The viability of the isolates in the formulation at an average of 108 CFU/g in planta after two weeks of storage; however, disease incidence in the in planta application of the Streptomyces spp. formulation remained high, necessitating formulation optimization and optimization of external factors. | - |
