Abstract: Indonesia menghasilkan limbah abu sekam padi (ASP) yang menumpuk di Sentra Penggilingan Padi Magetan akibat pembakaran sekam untuk bahan bakar tungku pengering gabah.
Indonesia produced rice husk ash (RHA) waste that accumulated at the Rice Milling Center in Magetan due to the burning of rice husks as fuel for drying furnaces. This study aimed to analyze the feasibility of designing a silica extraction plant from RHA to reduce waste accumulation and generate high-quality silica products. The methods included market data collection, technical, organizational, and legal aspects, laboratory experiments, and financial feasibility analysis through literature studies and field observations. The results showed that the plant could produce high-purity silica (95-99%) with an annual capacity of 376 tons, meeting industrial adsorbent standards. Financial analysis revealed a positive Net Present Value (NPV) and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) higher than a 6% discount rate, indicating the project's viability. The plant was expected to decrease RHA waste and provide economic and social benefits to the community.
