| dc.description.abstract | Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a staple food crop that dominates much of Asia, including Indonesia, and plays a critical role in ensuring national food security. However, the reduction in harvested area due to land conversion has hindered productivity. This study aimed to evaluate the yield potential and agronomic performance of 21 promising IPB new plant type (NPT) rice lines (F7 generation), alongside two reference varieties, Ciherang and Inpari 32. The experiment was conducted from March to June 2025 in Sawah Baru, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency, using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. Agronomic traits and yield components observed included plant height, number of tillers, flowering and maturity time, panicle length, number of grains, and 1000-grain weight. The productivity of all other lines was comparable to that of the control varieties, with the highest productivity observed in line IPB200-F17-1, reaching 3.867 tons ha?¹. Meanwhile, the productivity of the control varieties Ciherang and Inpari 32 was recorded at 3.140 tons ha?¹ and 3.590 tons ha?¹, respectively. Further studies under more optimal growing conditions, particularly with improved irrigation management, are recommended to obtain more precise yield estimations. | - |
