dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan mengevaluasi pemberian pakan flushing mengandung jenis kalsium berbeda terhadap karakteristik estrus, perkembangan folikel, dan metabolit darah domba. Penelitian ini menggunakan 16 ekor domba lokal selama satu bulan pemeliharaan dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial 2x2. Faktor pertama perbedaan bentuk kalsium yaitu C1 = ransum mengandung Ca serbuk dan C2 = ransum mengandung Ca emulsi, sedangkan faktor kedua adalah perbedaan paritas yakni D1 = Domba dara dan D2 = Domba multipara. Peubah yang diamati yaitu onset estrus, durasi estrus, respon estrus, folikel, serta glukosa dan kolesterol darah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi antara pemberian ransum flushing dengan kalsium bentuk emulsi yang dapat mempersingkat lama waktu timbulnya estrus (onset estrus) dan memicu terjadinya estrus (P<0,05) terhadap domba multipara. Jumlah folikel dan metabolit darah domba tidak berbeda nyata antara dua perlakuan dan tidak ada interaksi antara kedua faktor terhadap semua parameter yang diamati. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ransum flushing dengan kalsium emulsi mempersingkat waktu munculnya estrus pada domba namun tidak mempengaruhi jumlah folikel serta metabolit darah domba.-
dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to analyze and evaluate flushing feed containing different types of calcium on estrus characteristics, follicle development, and blood metabolites of sheep. This study used 16 local sheep for one month of maintenance with a 2x2 factorial Randomized Group Design. The first factor is the difference in calcium form, namely C1 = ration containing Ca powder and C2 = ration containing Ca emulsion, while the second factor is the difference in parity, namely D1 = virgin sheep and D2 = multiparous sheep. The observed variables were estrus onset, estrus duration, estrus response, follicles, and blood glucose and cholesterol. The results showed that there was an interaction between the provision of flushing rations with calcium emulsion form that can shorten the time of onset of estrus and trigger the onset of estrus (P < 0.05) in multiparous sheep. The number of follicles and sheep blood metabolites were not significantly different between the two treatments and there was no interaction between the two factors on all parameters observed. The conclusion of this study shows that flushing ration with calcium emulsion shortens the time of estrus in sheep but does not affect the number of follicles and blood metabolites of sheep.-
