| dc.description.abstract | This study discusses the design of a smart parking system model based on the Internet of Things (IoT) at the IPB Vocational School, utilizing Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology and the ESP32 microcontroller. The main objective is to improve the efficiency, security, and convenience of parking area management. The system is designed using infrared sensors for vehicle detection, RFID modules for access authorization, and integration with a web platform and the telegram application for real-time monitoring and notifications. The research process includes literature review, needs analysis, system design, testing, and performance evaluation. Test results show that the infrared sensor achieved an accuracy rate of 97.8% with an error rate of 2.2%, and the access authorization response was fast despite being affected by network quality. The system proved capable of providing automatic parking access for registered users, sending parking status notifications, and recording vehicle entry and exit data in an integrated manner. This design has the potential to be further developed by adding advanced security features, optimizing hardware performance, and improving scalability to support larger parking areas. | - |
