With the increase in organic waste around us, especially fruit peel waste that is only wasted and has not been optimally utilized, it can potentially create a negative impact on the environment due to the decay process. One solution that can be done is to utilize fruit peel waste as raw material for making briquettes. This research aims to make and analyze briquettes by utilizing banana, pineapple, and durian fruit peel waste as the main raw material with cornstarch adhesive. This research uses 100% fruit peel charcoal composition and the composition of flour and water as adhesive, namely 40 gr: 700 ml. Tests carried out in the form of ash content, water content, calorific value, destruction index (droptest), and combustion rate. Based on the analysis of the characteristics that have been tested, it is known that briquettes with pineapple peel raw materials are the best briquettes compared to banana and durian peels. |
