Gross Domestic Product (GDP) dan Covid-19 sebagai dummy berpengaruh negatif tidak signifikan terhadap profitabilitas BPRS.
Profitability is one of the key performance indicators for financial institutions, including Islamic Rural Banks (BPRS), which play a role in promoting the economic empowerment of communities through real sector financing. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the profitability of BPRS in Indonesia. The research employs annual data covering the period from 2018 to 2024 and utilizes a panel data regression method, based on financial data from 150 BPRS. The analysis results indicate that Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) and Non-Performing Financing (NPF) have a negative and significant effect on BPRS profitability. Meanwhile, the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Bank Indonesia Rate (BI Rate) show a positive but statistically insignificant effect. In addition, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the Covid-19 dummy variable have a negative and insignificant influence on the profitability of BPRS.
