| dc.description.abstract | Perkembangan teknologi digital dan meningkatnya penetrasi internet di Indonesia telah mendorong perubahan signifikan dalam perilaku pencarian informasi masyarakat, termasuk dalam bidang pariwisata dan kuliner. Instagram, sebagai salah satu platform media sosial visual yang dominan, memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk referensi, citra destinasi, serta pengambilan keputusan konsumen terhadap destinasi kuliner. Akun @smilingbogorcity, yang dikelola oleh Humas Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kota Bogor, menjadi salah satu media digital strategis yang memanfaatkan kekuatan visual untuk menyampaikan informasi wisata lokal, khususnya kuliner. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi motif kebutuhan serta menganalisis bentuk kepuasan yang diperoleh pengguna Instagram dari konten akun @smilingbogorcity sebagai sumber informasi wisata kuliner di Kota Bogor. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini ialah kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi non-partisipan, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama tiga bulan terhitung dari bulan April hingga Juni 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengguna mengakses akun @smilingbogorcity dengan berbagai motif yang sesuai dengan empat kategori dalam teori Uses and Gratifications (Katz et al. 1973), yaitu motif kognitif (mencari informasi aktual dan terpercaya), integratif personal (pencerminan identitas diri dan gaya hidup), integratif sosial (mempererat hubungan sosial), dan pelarian (escapism dari rutinitas). Selain itu, pengguna juga memperoleh beragam bentuk kepuasan dari konten yang disajikan, antara lain kepuasan atas kualitas visual, informasi kuliner yang relevan, serta pengalaman interaktif yang memperkuat keterlibatan dengan akun tersebut. Penelitian ini berkontribusi secara teoritis dalam memperkuat kajian pemanfaatan media sosial berbasis Uses and Gratification serta secara praktis memberikan rekomendasi strategi komunikasi digital bagi instansi pemerintah dalam optimalisasi konten berbasis kebutuhan pengguna. Akhirnya, penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya memahami dinamika audiens dalam mengakses media sosial agar dapat mengembangkan pola komunikasi publik yang adaptif, informatif, dan partisipatif di era digital. | - |
| dc.description.abstract | The development of digital technology and the increasing penetration of the internet in Indonesia have driven significant changes in people's information seeking behavior, including in the fields of tourism and culinary arts. Instagram, as one of the dominant visual social media platforms, plays a crucial role in shaping references, destination imagery, and consumer decision-making regarding culinary destinations. The @smilingbogorcity account, managed by the Public Relations Office of the Tourism and Culture Department of Bogor City, serves as a strategic digital platform leveraging visual appeal to disseminate local tourism information, particularly culinary-related content. This study aims to identify the motives behind users' needs and analyze the forms of satisfaction obtained by Instagram users from the content of the @smilingbogorcity account as a source of culinary tourism information in the city of Bogor. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection methods including in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. This research was conducted over a period of three months, from April to June 2025. The results of the study indicate that users access the @smilingbogorcity account for various reasons that correspond to the four categories in the Uses and Gratifications theory (Katz et al. 1973), namely cognitive motives (seeking current and reliable information), personal integrative motives (reflecting personal identity and lifestyle), social integrative motives (strengthening social relationships), and escapism (escaping from routine). Additionally, users derive diverse forms of satisfaction from the content presented, including satisfaction with visual quality, relevant culinary information, and interactive experiences that enhance engagement with the account. This study contributes theoretically to strengthening research on the use of social media based on the Uses and Gratification model and practically provides recommendations for digital communication strategies for government agencies in optimizing content based on user needs. Finally, this study emphasizes the importance of understanding audience dynamics in accessing social media to develop adaptive, informative, and participatory public communication patterns in the digital age. | - |
