Abstract: MUHAMAD HILMI HANAFI Perancangan Alat Produksi Paving Block Berbahan Dasar Sampah Plastik dengan Sumber Energi Minyak Jelantah. Dibimbing oleh JARWADI BUDI HERNOWO. Tingginya volume sampah anorganik, khususnya sampah plastik, menjadi permasalahan lingkungan serius di berbagai daerah, termasuk Kabupaten Bogor yang pada tahun 2023 menghasilkan 2.747 ton sampah/hari dengan tingkat pelayanan pengelolaan yang masih rendah. Pengelolaan sampah yang buruk ini berdampak negatif pada lingkungan, seperti pencemaran sungai, penelitian ini merancang sebuah alat produksi paving block berbahan dasar sampah plastik dengan sumber energi minyak jelantah. Alat ini bertujuan untuk mereduksi timbulan sampah menjadi paving block dan akan digunakan dalam perbaikan jalan PT Tamaris Hidro. Merancang desain alat pengolahan sampah plastik menjadi paving block yang efektif dan sesuai standar SNI, metode dalam pengujian ini menggunakan metode uji kuat tekan dan pengukuran densitas. Hasil dalam perancangan alat ini berhasil dibuat. Kualitas paving block masih dibawah standar mutu SNI 03-0691-1996 tentang Paving Block sehingga diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dalam prosedur penggunaan alat ini. Rencana anggaran biaya yang digunakan mencapai Rp.1.898.500 dan tingkat efektifitas alat mencapai 80% dan yang terendah 32%.
MUHAMAD HILMI HANAFI Design of a Paving Block Production Tool from Plastic Waste with Used Cooking Oil as an Energy Source Supervised by JARWADI BUDI HERNOWO. The high volume of inorganic waste, particularly plastic waste, poses a serious environmental problem in various regions, including Bogor Regency, which in 2023 generated 2,747 tons of waste per day with a low level of waste management service. This poor waste management negatively impacts the environment, leading to river pollution. This research designed a paving block production tool utilizing plastic waste as raw material and used cooking oil as an energy source. This tool aims to reduce waste generation by transforming it into paving blocks, which will be used for road improvements at PT Tamaris Hidro. To design an effective plastic waste processing tool for paving block production that complies with SNI standards, this study employed compressive strength testing and density measurement methods. The design of this tool was successfully developed. However, the quality of the paving blocks produced is still below the quality standard of SNI 03-0691-1996 concerning Paving Blocks, thus necessitating further research into the tool's operational procedures. The estimated budget for this project amounted to Rp. 1,898,500, and the tool's effectiveness ranged from 32% to 80%.
