Abstract: Meranti (Rubroshorea leprosula Miq) dari famili Dipterocarpaceae merupakan salah satu penyusun hutan hujan tropis Indonesia yang kayunya masih menjadi primadona.
Meranti (Rubroshorea leprosula Miq) from the Dipterocarpaceae family is one of the components of Indonesia's tropical rainforests, whose wood is still highly sought after. Environmental factors influencing adaptation, plant growth, and composition include the physical and chemical properties of the soil. This study aims to evaluate the influence of site characteristics on the growth of R. leprosula Miq. The research methods include collecting climate and soil quality data using Soilgrid and WorldClim data, tree growth data, soil quality classification, and data analysis using Maximum Entropy. The results indicate that suitable soil quality and climate play a crucial role in supporting the growth of the diameter and height of R. leprosula Miq. The accuracy value of the habitat suitability model for R. leprosula Miq in Sumatra was 0,840, with the highest AUC value for the elevation variable, while Kalimantan had a model accuracy of 0,758, with the organic carbon variable showing the highest AUC value. The elevation variable significantly influences the diameter and height of R. leprosula trees.
