The management of red onion extraction by-products poses a challenge for PT XYZ due to its large volume. This study aims to analyze and compare the financial feasibility of producing compost fertilizer from this waste at two scales: industrial (5 tons per batch) and small (0.2 tons per batch). The method employed is a financial feasibility analysis using indicators of net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), benefit-cost ratio (B/C), and payback period (PP). The results for the industrial scale show an NPV of IDR 628,126,193; an IRR of 11.3%; a B/C Ratio of 1.06; and a PP of 7.4 years. Meanwhile, the small scale yields an NPV of IDR 79,096,730; an IRR of 19.59%; a B/C Ratio of 1.44; and a PP of 6.14 years. Based on these results, both project scales are declared financially feasible. However, the small scale demonstrates more efficient financial performance with a superior rate of return and feasibility ratio, making it a superior model for initial implementation and a sustainable solution for agro-industrial waste management.
