| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of administering dragon fruit peel juice and different protein levels on the internal organs and digestive tract of IPB-D1 chickens. This study used 200 IPB-D1 chickens with a completely randomized factorial design (2x2). Factors were (1) drinking water (dragon fruit peel juice, control) and (2) feed (low protein, high protein). The variables observed were the percentage of internal organ weight, digestive tract, and the relative length of the digestive tract. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS software version 25 with analysis of variance (ANOVA) using the method of Steel and Torrie (1993). The results showed that the provision of high-protein feed had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the increase in the percentage of gallbladder weight, proventriculus, and cecum. Dragon fruit peel juice had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the percentage of internal organ weight, weight, and relative length of the digestive tract. The conclusion of this study is that the provision of dragon fruit peel juice and feed with different protein levels did not have a negative effect on the percentage of internal organs and digestive tract of IPB-D1 chickens | - |
