Abstract: Perubahan garis pantai merupakan unsur utama dinamika pesisir yang dipengaruhi oleh hidrodinamika lokal dan variabilitas iklim. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pola perubahan garis pantai dan hubungannya dengan indeks iklim global, yaitu Niño3.4 dan PDO, di Kabupaten Pangandaran. Data garis pantai diperoleh dari citra Landsat dan Sentinel-2 menggunakan MNDWI melalui GEE. Analisis spasial perubahan garis pantai dilakukan menggunakan Net Shoreline Movements (NSM) dan Linear Regression Rate (LRR) pada DSAS. Analisis korelasi silang diterapkan untuk mengkaji hubungan temporal antara NSM dengan indeks iklim. Hasil menunjukkan perbedaan distribusi zona erosi dan akresi di sepanjang pantai Kabupaten Pangandaran. Cijulang cenderung mengalami erosi, dengan rata-rata NSM terendah –29,13 m pada 14 Juni 2024. Sebaliknya, Parigi, Sidamulih, Pangandaran, dan Kalipucang cenderung mengalami akresi, dengan rata-rata NSM tertinggi 56,72 m pada 28 Oktober 2023. Peningkatan Niño3.4 cenderung diikuti oleh akresi jangka pendek (bulan 1 – 2) dan erosi tertunda (bulan 13 – 19), sedangkan peningkatan PDO cenderung diikuti oleh erosi tertunda dalam 0 – 17 bulan. Pengelolaan pesisir berdasarkan zonasi dan karakteristik lokal diperlukan di Kabupaten Pangandaran. Selain itu, indeks iklim global seperti Niño3.4 dan PDO harus dipertimbangkan dalam perencanaan pengelolaan pesisir untuk memungkinkan respons adaptif terhadap perubahan garis pantai dan mendukung pengelolaan pesisir berkelanjutan.
Shoreline change is a key indicator of coastal dynamics, driven by local hydrodynamics and global climate variability. This study aims to analyze shoreline change patterns and their relationships with global climate indices—Niño3.4 and PDO—in Pangandaran Regency. Shoreline positions were derived from Landsat and Sentinel-2 imagery using MNDWI on the GEE platform. Spatial analysis was conducted using Net Shoreline Movement (NSM) and Linear Regression Rate (LRR) via DSAS. Cross-correlation analysis was applied to assess the temporal relationships between NSM and climate indices. Results indicate varied distribution of erosion and accretion zones across Pangandaran Regency. Cijulang tends to experience erosion, with the lowest average NSM of –29.13 m on 14 June 2024. In contrast, Parigi, Sidamulih, Pangandaran, and Kalipucang tend to experience accretion, with the highest average NSM of 56.72 m on 28 October 2023. An increase in Niño3.4 tends to cause short-term accretion (months 1 – 2) and delayed erosion (months 13 – 19). Similarly, an increase in PDO tends to cause erosion within months 0 – 17. Coastal management based on zoning and local characteristics are needed in Pangandaran Regency. Additionally, global climate indices such as Niño3.4 and the PDO should be considered in coastal management planning to enable adaptive responses to shoreline changes and support sustainable coastal management.
