Abstract: Transportasi pada ternak dapat menyebabkan stres yang berdampak negatif pada performa dan kondisi fisiologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efek pemberian nanoemulsi minyak Black Soldier Fly (BSF) mengandung habbatussauda dan kurkumin terhadap respons fisiologis, tingkah laku, dan performa domba betina pasca transportasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan domba betina afkir jenis ekor gemuk persilangan Merino sebanyak 45 ekor, bobot rata-rata 15,29±3,16 kg usia 1–2 tahun menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi dengan faktor utama berupa jenis nanoemulsi (P0 = Kontrol, P1 = minyak BSF + habbatussauda, P2 = minyak BSF + kurkumin), dan faktor isi berupa posisi domba pada deck kendaraan (T1 = deck atas, T2 = deck tengah, T3 = deck bawah), setiap kombinasi perlakuan terdiri dari 5 ulangan. Proses pengangkutan menempuh jarak 676 km dan waktu 14 jam. Pemberian nanoemulsi minyak BSF mengandung habbatussauda dan kurkumin berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap respons fisiologis, parameter performa, dan tingkah laku. Perlakuan nanoemulsi mengandung habbatussauda (P1) mempertahankan laju respirasi dalam kisaran normal dan menurunkan tingkah laku istirahat, mengindikasikan stres lebih ringan. Nanoemulsi herbal mengandung kurkumin (P2), meningkatkan konsumsi pakan, bobot badan harian, efisiensi pakan, tingkah laku makan, dan mempercepat rekondisi bobot badan pasca transportasi. Nilai denyut jantung yang lebih rendah pada deck atas menunjukkan tekanan fisiologis yang lebih ringan dibandingkan deck bawah setelah transportasi.
Transportation in livestock can cause stress, negatively impacting physiological condition and performance. This study evaluated the effects of nanoemulsions containing Black Soldier Fly (BSF) oil enriched with habbatussauda and curcumin on the physiological responses, behavior, and performance of 45 culled fat-tailed crossbred Merino ewes (15.29±3.16 kg). A Split-Plot Design was used with nanoemulsion type (P0 = Control, P1 = BSF oil + habbatussauda, P2 = BSF oil + curcumin) as the main factor and sheep position on the vehicle deck (T1 = upper, T2 = middle, T3 = lower) as the subplot factor, each with 5 replications. Transport spanned 676 km over 14 hours. Nanoemulsion supplementation significantly (P<0.05) affected physiological responses, behavior, and performance. P1 maintained normal respiratory rates and reduced resting behavior, indicating lower stress. P2 improved feed intake, weight gain, feed efficiency, feeding behavior, and accelerated post-transport recovery. Sheep on the upper deck showed lower heart rates, suggesting reduced physiological stress.
