Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is a highly contagious viral disease that primarily affects ungulates and leads to substantial economic losses globally. Common clinical signs of FMD in cattle include elevated body temperature, anorexia, a significant reduction in milk production in dairy cows, hypersalivation accompanied by foamy saliva, and decreased reproductive performance. The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy of herbal-mineral supplementation, which incorporated turmeric, ginger, zinc, and selenium, in three different feed forms: mash, pellets, and herbal mineral blocks (HMB). This study employed a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three treatments and four replications. The treatments included: the provision of herbs and minerals mixed with feed in the form of mash, the provision of herbs and minerals mixed with feed in the form of pellets, and the provision of herbs and minerals in the form of herbal mineral blocks. The study was conducted over a period of 42 days, which was divided into a 14 day adaptation phase and a 28 day treatment phase. The parameters measured in the study included feed consumption, blood metabolites, hematological values, liver enzyme activities, and the titers of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies. The results indicated that mash feed significantly increased (P < 0.05) antibody titers, feed efficiency, and average daily gain (ADG) compared to both pellet and herbal mineral block (HMB) feeds. Additionally, both mash and pellet feeds were found to reduce liver enzyme activity, suggesting improved liver health. These findings imply that mash feed is the most effective form of herbal-mineral supplementation for enhancing immunity to Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD).-
